painted hallway today. So many doors to cut in around. But looks nice. Next up is kitchen. Actually not much surface area to paint compared to today and DH gets to do most cause it requires the arm reach of a 6'2 person over the cabinets. Need to find the right color for our bathroom so I can have that on deck. Shoot, need to order landscape materials tomorrow so I can drag DH out into the sunshine again next Saturday.

hey who's going to be in our area this summer? Def having a house party to be like look we moved in and did some ****. Come eat some food at our place. Thinking late July so we have time after we get back from UK and a couple friends have stuff earlier in July.

Well if you're inviting;).

Every time I hear a Bryan Adams song, I think how he's Canadian. Then I think how he's probably the biggest Canadian rock star(besides Rush) and how he's really just a 2nd tier rock star at best.

Then I think Canada has Drake. But I'm not sure Drake is Canadian. Pretty sure he is. Then I remember that i don't give a **** about hip hop that came out after 1996, so he does't really count. And what's up with Drake? I saw a video once and he has some damn wack ass dance moves. Pretty lame looking.

Then I think about how my buddy (a Canadian) went into this 13 minute spiel about how Canadians won't admit it or won't like to hear it, but they ARE a Socialist country that wants the government to do everything for them. The price of goods up there coupled with dual taxation is eventually going to see a tipping point to where people won't be able to afford regular every day products!!!! The Canadian infrastructure will eventually collapse!!!

Canada seems like a social democracy to me overall, but I don't live there so I don't know much about the country and it's governing body. We champion their health care system, but they also apparently pay for it like mofos. The got some serious benefits up there.

Another buddy up there, had just gotten a mortgage for a home 200K+. Then his position was eliminated with his company. He wasn't sweating it at all, because his unemployment benefits were a solid 9 months to a year, and an incredible percentage of what his wage was.

And the sheer amount of old people on motorized carts, and electric wheelchairs was cray! I've been to cities such as Chicago, D.C., Houston....all over the US, and never seen anything like it. That reaffirmed the notion that their health care takes care of people. If you were borderline walking impaired, you get a ride of some sort.

It's totally time for bed now.....

Not that I'm a fan, but Bieber is Canadian and is definitely top tier.

Isn't it about time for some kind of Bob and Doug Mackenzie revival? Bryan Adams would have been, at one time, a 1st tier rock star but then he became the guy that sings boring songs for wedding ceremonies and not so much the fun stuff at receptions. Is Robin Thicke from Canada? His dad is. I don't really care 'cause he's kinda a douche but he does have sort of dreamy eyes.

I like the people I know from Canada. They don't generally take things too seriously and fully admit that most of their friends from Canada are either hockey players, alcoholics or alcoholic hockey players.

My favorite thing about Canada is the cool city names. Thunder Bay and Moose Jaw. That's cool. Oh, and their national anthem. I could move to Canada just for the national anthem. In fact, I probably would but I just don't love poutine.

I just skimmed the activity from the weekend so tell me this, are we going to CG's in late July without pants to paint or for a party?

The guy checking passports at the border asked where I was headed. When he learned I was going to Hamilton, he said " Ah...Hammer-town eh?".

One of my best friends is Canadian. Spent a long weekend up there and enjoyed the company of everyone I met. I think it would be a great place to place to live. In about a year my son will be 4 and we'll fly back up there for a visit. Can't wait.

My experience with Poutine is that I want the fries to stand up in the container. Think of the big cardboard thingy that McDonalds fries comes in. I don't want the gravy to make my fries soggy. Vertical fries keep that crunch attribute. The bottom of the fries in the gravy gets soggy, but it mends in with the gooey melted cheese curds. Booya!
