Brought my co-worker (who covered for me while I was out) some things from Iowa. Six ears of sweet corn and a box of Dutch letters. Dutch letters are a hit so far.

I lived in Iowa for 21 years and this is the first time I heard of Dutch Letters. I had to look them up.

I have them every time I visit Iowa (and while I lived there). Sucks that I can't get any down here in Texas and they seem like a pain to make from scratch.

Don't feel bad. I was born and raised 6 miles from Orange City (home of settlers from Pella, the Tulip Festival and women over 6 feet tall) and this was the first time I'd heard of them as well.

Baseball and softball now officially done. Daughter finished with a ,583 varsity average and only pitched in two games, so it was about perfect for her time. Son played very well the last couple of games and became a crowd favorite when he started throwing runners out. Played 1/3 of the varsity games but led the conference in throw outs. Now considering going out next year. I can't take this coach anymore.

Well what an opportunity for some father son bonding time . Is the coach just a coach or does he teach at the school also?
