And apparently everyone was up last night and sleeping in this morning.

Just sayin'...
I'm just surprised that you didn't say "Ew, Auntie...TMI!!!".I was going to say this, but I'm a perv, so I held off. I'm glad I was backed up in my thought process though!
I just saw that the Ames pools were having shortened hours due to not enough staff.
@BoxsterCy or @VeloClone I'm looking to buy a bike. What's the difference between a mountain bike, a road bike and a fitness bike, to an out of shape potato like me?
I hate when I get obsessed with a musician and then other people are like "I don't get it" and my only response is, do you listen to it with like, your ears?
By the way, RTT, since I was gone and didn't mention, guess who's got two thumbs, a charming smile and won a trip to Costa RIca?
Velos the real bike man, I just play one on CF and to my old peers who do not exercise much at all.
Mountain Bike = Jeep
Road Bike = Sports Car
Fitness Bike = Honda Accord
And the fact I don't know much will not prevent me from rambling some one the subject since bikes and biking are cool. I have learned some **** about them the last couple years.
If you aren't buying a bike to go to the dirt trail parks then you don't want a mountain bike. I don't believe anyone needs a drop bar road bike if they aren't going on long rides and looking to book it speedwise. For my money the fitness or hybrid bikes are great. They have lighter frames more like a road bike with straight bars for easier steering (for most) and an upright seating posture that is more like everything but the road bikes. The hybrids typically have narrower tires then comfort bikes but fatter then true road bikes. Narrow enough not to be too slow on paved paths but not so narrow as to be dicing on gravel. Your basica ll purpose bike.
I have a Specialized Sirrus hybrid with aluminum frame and a carbon fork in the front. The new aluminum frames are lighter then my old Schwinn steel bikes but they can ride a little rougher which is way they add the carbon front fork. Mine has 18 speeds, plenty for city riding. Also opted for the disc brake model on a whim, not sure I'd recommend them but I like them so far (700 miles). All and all I think hybrids are great.
I ended up maybe paying more than I could have because the popular brand names carry a premium that's a little higher then all of their doodads and components justify but the frame sizing on the Specialized fit me well and it looked cool (come on, I drive old Porsches and put a premium on the COLOR of cars) I am 5'-9" with a short inseam and a lot of bikes I tried out (like Trek) were either too big or too small for me with my upper bod being too long or legs too short for various sizes. The general size recommended for me was most likely a pelvic crusher for dismounting...not good. I don't think my old Bianchi ever fit me quite right since I bought it so both CWW#2 and I could both ride it. and of course she NEVER rode it.
For what it is worth, I consider Minneapolis the bike thief center of the metro area so keep that in mind. If you are just looking to casual and fitness ride around the lakes but haven't been much of a biker in the past you could always try and find a bargain bike off of Craigslist and get something better later if you want.
BTW, it's TOO hot and TOO windy even for crazy Boxster to ride today.
I am hearing "Do you even listen, bro?"
This is CF, I'm sure we make make "hello" sound inappropriate. She could have typed the whole quote and he still could have been inappropriate...

I feel like getting out of the music store having spent only 65 dollars was a victory for me.
I've seen a handful of like, hubs around that sell used bikes. I've considered checking that out. I definitely don't want to spend much because I don't currently know how dedicated I'd be to it.
Find any old LP's?
Too hot out. Too hot and windy to even drop top on the convertible. May make a Surdyk's wine run.
Well, DUH!
Button is available...
Boxster might even want her - not only does she do a fine job on mice & ground squirrels, she even took down a full grown rabbit that was actually as big as she was. Hey, when you have four hungry mouths to feed...
