My son had a baseball game last night. He's in 8th grade and almost every player in the league is in 8th grade (maybe a few 7th graders). The first baseman on the other team had a complete, well-manicured beard.

Canada is recalling Bombay Sapphire Gin because the alcohol level in some of the bottles is 77% instead of the 40% listed on the label. In Canada, I would have guessed they'd be given a ceremonial plaque for this. I'd say the same about Wisconsin and most college towns but nobody in those places is drinking Bombay Sapphire.

I'd be surprised if many people send their bottle back.
And here I am shaving every 3-4 days because I can't grow facial hairMy son had a baseball game last night. He's in 8th grade and almost every player in the league is in 8th grade (maybe a few 7th graders). The first baseman on the other team had a complete, well-manicured beard.

If you were about 10 years younger, you'd be able to grow facial hair. And here I am shaving every 3-4 days because I can't grow facial hair
Now you two know how I felt 15 months ago with that damned cast!Yep. It's a tedious process. I'm hoping to lose my hand splint today but I am expecting the doctor will say one more week.
My younger son was shaving daily in 8th grade. I wouldn't let him have a goatee until 10th, though. He was also the one who had to shave twice daily at boot camp because his 5 o'clock shadow was too scruffy for the DI's.A kid in my sister's class had a full beard in 8th grade too.
I can only wish that if I need abdominal surgery again that it might be done laparoscopically and not as open surgery again with that damn "triple cesarean" cut. When I ask they go "something something scar tissue something something we will see". And then I go "ah, ****, me" because they mean "no, that would be harder for us."
I am trying not to complain too much. It is just this nagging annoying discomfort that is driving me nuts. I should also add that this was my first surgery of any kind (wisdom teeth don't really count) and first time in a hospital so I may be a little girl when it comes to this.
Eh, it's more just a stupid masculinity thing, I'd actually prefer to stay this way. I have a friend who grows facial hair really quickly and that just seems like a hassle to have to shave that muchMy younger son was shaving daily in 8th grade. Edit: after reading Woo's comment...there IS hope, Woo. My older son shaved once a week, whether he needed it or not, clear into his late 20s. He'll be 40 in December; he finally has a "decent" goatee, but a full beard will probably never happen for him.
How long did they say the discomfort would last?I am trying not to complain too much. It is just this nagging annoying discomfort that is driving me nuts. Pretty tough not to move the core if you move at all. Maybe get a full body cast?About a week. I am surprisingly not doing bad at all just sitting here at work. The downfall is 75% of my job involves getting up and walking around.
Hopefully soon because pretty soon that won't be true anymore. Less than a year for me to learn it now.Last night while coaching soccer we were doing some sprints. I generally try to run with the girls as a bit of team bonding exercise. I have been pretty tender on my right side due to what I assume is sciatica so I was likely favoring that leg. Halfway through the last sprint I pulled my left hammy.
When am I going to learn that I am almost 50?

I think Boxster is probably pretty smart about keeping himself fit and knowing his limitations. A good combination for us all as we get older if we aren't pig headed and can accept them both.Trust me that kind of stuff doesn't get any easier. Boxster does seem to be the exception to my statement.
