Not necessarily. No one wants their mom to not wear pants (at least no one living outside Kentucky or West Virginia). And, I 'm pretty sure there are any number of women who you would not consider great to know if they didn't wear pants. I'm not going to go into examples, because it would be insensitive and wrong to objectify women and to reinforce the patriarchal biases inherent in the system...
Pants...pshaw....I need to find some hip-waders...

So technically, since you didn't capitalize "pants" , you are advocating that no one wear pants? Are you really sure that's what you want to say?

Lawyers and your technicalities. Speaking of which during my unexpected time off I am watching Better Call Saul.

All I have left is my graduate design project presentation on Friday after lunch and then I'll expect everywhere here to address me as Master cstrunk.

Inglehoffer horseradish sauce is significantly hotter than the last brand I bought. Woof!

Sinuses clear? Check.

Been there. I mistakenly slathered on a heap the first time I used it. It made my nose tingly.

Inglehoffer makes good stuff even though their spicy hot mustard, while tasty, is not spicy at all.

got Dh a bday card yesterday......should probably get him a real gift since we'll be in London for mine but it's hard enough figuring out an Xmas gift for him. Anyway, I'm reading cards and one starts "to my amazing, smart, sexy husband, yadda yadda love you so much you are so great blah blah" open it to the inside and read:

"and I'm so lucky to be your guy"

I wish you all could have seen my face, lol. The normally have the husband to husband cards marked, you know like husband-funny, husband-religious and this one was just under generic husband. I thought about getting it anyway just to see DH's reaction.

I rarely give a normal card anymore. Most of them suck so bad. Lately I've been on a kick of getting a card and altering the inside to something funnier than the original card had. I'll glue a blank piece of paper over the original message and have fun with it. My favorite is to get one of those super sappy cards that you get from your grandma and then write something completely inappropriate inside.

The last un-altered card I gave was last Mother's Day. I gave my wife a card that said "To my strong Nubian princess" on the outside. I had no idea there were race-specific cards out there, but it seemed like a great way to convey my feelings.

I LOVE that!

File it under "things I never thought about"...but how great that someone else did, and there are cards out there like that!

oh yes, I see quite a few - and not just birthdays. Wedding cards, anniversary, engagement. This one just caught me off guard.

I don't buy cards very often, so it's not surprising that I'm not up on the trends. When a couple of lesbian friends got married back when it first became legal here in Iowa, we ended up making our own card by using a pretty picture card that was blank inside and writing our own message inside of it. I tend to go that route most of the time because the sympathy & wedding cards are just...so...sappy...
