Wisdom teeth are out. Doctor said they were a bit difficult to remove so he prescribed a stronger pain killer. I already took the other pain killer. Now they are waiting to hear from the doctor because I can't take both pain killers at the same time.

I just want them to get me fixed up. The numbness is wearing off.

Heh...PapaLew called me a few minutes ago. Apparently as soon as he turned his phone back on after leaving the workplace, it blew up with notifications. Told him that's what he gets for having my FB on there. :D

Don't you hate when you're trying to argue a side, someone agrees with you, but then they proceed to add a really stupid argument that make you wish they didn't agree with you? It's like, "Oh, thanks for trying to help, but you can go now."

My favorite is when you're on the verge of a breakthrough via calm and reasoned discussion, and someone dives in with both feet & a hammer "listen, jackwagon, she's told you this 25 times but you're too bleeping stupid to understand it...so let ME explain"
I'm all "no thanks - we're good!"

Wife and daughter come home tomorrow. Guessing it wouldn't be smarty to answer truthfully when she wants to know what it was like with them gone for week. Because it's actually been kinda nice.

Well at least wait till after you "welcome her back" before telling her that. ;)

I didn't expect much. I started with a link that used the word "Quackery" to describe their source.
It was suggested to me that I try some critical thinking. Then, and I know this can sound elitist, I remembered that the person isn't very educated and has no idea what that means. Yes, I have some snobbish instincts now.

Now I'm confused I thought you said the anti-vaxxer had a Phd.

Strunk, if your home and the time is close and the pain is high, I would just switch to the new meds. Good luck on feeling better.

The pain is actually getting better. The numbness is still wearing off. I took meds at noon so I'll be able to take the new meds at 6 pm. It's not super painful, as it is uncomfortable. I have gauze shoved in the sides of my mouth and I'm trying to keep a firm bite down on them. I've changed them out a few times already and I think the bleeding is starting to improve... slowly. I can't wait for that to stop. My mouth is dry. And I'm hungry.

No straws, no matter what you do, no straws.

And if you get a dull ache in your lower jaw that just intensifies, don't gut it out, cause it won't get better. That's dry socket.
If that happens, call your dentist/oral surgeon. They can pack the socket with gauze strips permeated with clove oil to relieve it while you heal.

@cstrunk maybe don't start with a favorite soft food. I got mine out on college break and had my mom make me a favorite pear jello salad thing. Never tastes as good coming back up. ;) It took me another 20 years to figure out any narcotic does that to me.

@wxman1 What is the rain situation the next 12-24hrs on your side of the state? Have a 1 day softball tournament tomorrow in IC. If it gets delayed at all, it is going to be a long day and late night.

Husband starts a weeklong staycation next week. I'm....not sure how this is going to go.

Wasn't going to tell you this preop, but had part of my jawbone growing over one of mine. They had to drill through it to get to the tooth. Got a nice extra large lump on that side of my jaw.

got a patio table today finally. Gotta settle on chairs yet. Got some yard stuff, and painted like, 1/3 of the kitchen. On to more tomorrow. Making progress on my spring to-do list though.

Painkillers are doing wonders. But I'm still getting a fair amount of blood, although I think it is coagulating. I just got done trying to bite on tea bags for 30 mins to help it stop.

The nurses didn't explain the proper way to change gauze. That would have been helpful this afternoon. I wasn't applying it accurately which was compounded by using too much.

Thanks, YouTube.

Biting tea bags. More info than I care to imagine.
