Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Celebrating tomorrow instead, since we're waiting for my BIL to come down to Austin. Plenty of beer here and I can't touch the stuff!

I like turkey, but do prefer pernil (Puerto Rican style whole pork shoulder), which is what we used to traditionally eat for Thanksgiving/Christmas. When growing up, for bigger gatherings we used to do a whole pig on a spit.

Pernil sounds awesome. GTO serious about the Coppin St. game?

GTO: Apparently Hy-Five does have Pigeon Peas, they're dried and in the Asian section. I was looking in the bean section.

Well lots of good food was consumed today. Now to figure out where to watch the game tomorrow night. Talked to a friend and we're thinking hard about hitting up the whole B12 tourney, that would be a whole lot of beer, BBQ, and BB.

Dried ones? I've cooked fresh and canned, but don't think I've used dried ones before. The Asian stores are sometimes a good place to find some of the fruits and vegetables I can't get elsewhere.
