I agree that glasses and especially sunglasses are stupid expensive. I got my current pair of aviators (come on did you think I was going to have anything but aviators) for $5 at Van Heusen.
This is the main reason I have considered LASIK. I miss cheap gas station aviators.
DH never wears sunglasses and thinks aviators aren't his type anyway. But he wore my extra pair (that actually were bent up so not so good) while in the water in Jamaica and daaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmnnnnnnnnnn he looked fine in them.
I've had a perscription for reading glasses (is perscription the right word for glasses?) ever since high school. And it was fine through college. The last few years of grad school though, and especially the last couple weeks, have got me feeling like I need to look into a stronger perscription.
Me too, although it's been a few years since it was last tested, so it may be worse as I age.
