It may be what we do, but if the facts are anything like what you're describing on here/what I've seen, and Minnesota law is anything like Wisconsin law, this should be a textbook case of when you can't use self defense. Here, you can't use it if what you did to provoke the reaction could get you arrested or legitimately sued. If the situations like how I think it is, it shouldn't apply.

My landlord's dad is visiting and is always on the stoop drinking a coffee when I leave in the morning. He got to rant in to me about lawyers and how we should just make a law that says this and a law that days that. I was like "I'm pretty sure there's a lot more that goes into making a law than just writing it out." He was like, well yeah, their boss has to sign off on it. And I was like, "if by 'boss' you mean 'vote of legislature' then yeah, that's a part of it but there's still a lot more than that."

hey, to give context to fed up CG, there is a not nice video of someone being not nice to someone else and killing them. The person I was responding to had not watched said video yet was saying things implying they knew how things had occurred, most of which was completely inaccurate if you had seen or read a description of the events in the video.

I got to hear, "Burn off the pie now" a lot the last three days while exercising. Or something similar. It sounds good, but I don't think it works that way.
I think Z's fever broke last night. She's had a fever for two days and topped out at 102.4F...... I learned that unless she's listless they don't want to see her or it gets over 103/4. It was the first time I've ever heard something like that. Poor kiddo was trying to laugh at something and then cried in the next breath yesterday.

I don't care what the context is, I was just happy to see ****** off CG again. It's been too long. It wasn't you telling a mod to **** off good, but still good nonetheless.
