State trooper almost got me on my way home. There's about a 1/4 mile stretch of 4 lane road for the underpass of the interstate. A dump truck had just exited, so I sped up to pass it. I saw the patrol car sitting on an access road for a cell tower, frequently used as a staging area for oversize load escort vehicles, so I assumed it was one of those, even with the light bar on top. I was doing about 55-60 when I realized I was wrong. Never have seen a state trooper sit there in the 10 years I have lived here.

How many of those threads started three months ago though? While I'm sure it's still high, you've got to look at posts per day, not overall posts. Gameday threads destroy this one in daily traffic. In fact, many threads created during game days destroy this in posts per day. Heck, some of Angie's Friday OT threads do too.

Oh yeah, that actual analysis would be way more complex than this, even. Just food for thought. Another thing to consider: how many times has this thread not been on the front page?

They're good. I get them at Applebee's, but only rarely. They make them too weak. Otherwise there's a local Mexican restaurant that makes them. Mostly I just make my own.

Jameson or Two Gingers and Ginger Ale (with Two Gingers it is called a Big Ginger). Gin and Tonic is good in the summer. 7 and 7 if there's no Jameson or Two Gingers.

It's because people in Iowa are bad and need to be punished. They need to wander in the snow and think about the bad lives they live down there.



Was pondering yesterday what the last 2 inches of rain would have totaled in snowfall.

I was complaining to my wife yesterday about it raining for 3 straight days. She mentioned that it would have been snow last year. That shut me up real quick.
