Those special effects affected many. Simply groundbreaking.
In fact, those effects effectively affected all moviegoers leaving them affectionately remembering the scenes of affection between the affected characters. Too much?

Was it over when the Grammar Nazis bombed RTT?

So I get the whole "French flag over your Facebook profile picture" thing. If you want to do it, more power to you. But maybe have a profile picture where your **** aren't all hanging out all over the place? Unless your **** are for unity for France. Then I guess go for it.

Anybody else get slightly confused with the cross-up between basketball and football scores on the bottom line today?

The previous day hundreds were killed or injured in a big attack in Beirut, once known as the Paris of the Mideast, and not a single **** was given on Facebook by anyone outside of Lebanon.

So hard for some people to care about a place that hasn't been in their glossy magazine and where people are kinda different looking from them.

Not to get too cavey, but I think it's just more because people didn't know, because (very sadly and very unfortunately) attacks in Beirut and Bagdhad just are much more common than in Paris. I don't think people even realize it, because "it's just another on the long list of attacks in the Middle East".

Just my personal opinion. I think it's a sad, sad thing that people don't know this, but it's the reasoning why I think it is.

I thought it "only" killed 40? Not that it's any less terrible - I did read a story about a father tackling one of the bombers, saving many but he and his young daughter were killed.

And yes, I imagine most Americans feel more in common with Parisians than the Lebanese so it's easier to feel distance from that and convince yourself that what happened in Beirut could not happen in the US. Harder so with Paris. Plus, since the Middle East is one giant blob to most Americans, and these type of attacks are sadly somewhat common in some of those countries, there is less awareness when it happens as it's less out of the norm.

ETA: just saw the daughter is not dead! She lived!

So people are ****** because we got screwed by the conference/refs in the game. Did I watch a different game? Where did we get screwed?

I'm ****** because for the 100th time we failed to close out a game under Paul Rhoads. That's just me. Others seem to be ****** for a variety of reasons.

I agree with this. After this many times, you can't just attribute it to bad luck.

That's where I'm blaming coaching. This has happened how many times in the last couple of seasons? If it happens once or twice I could understand blaming the players for a lack of focus, but it hasn't. We've had a consistent theme of either not showing up until late or playing great at the start just to come out clueless in the second half for the last couple of years. It's past unacceptable at this point.

Things I've learned to night 1. CG, causes bad things to happen in both FB and BB. She seems to have a neutral effect on VB. 2. With a little luck Woo will get to know CLSG better this evening. 3. 00 is probably going to swap out the communion wine with some hard cider sometime in the near future. 4. ISU FB snatching defeat from the jaws of victory for a very long time ( I actually knew this already bur still was disappointed when they let it get away.)

I'm also really ******* sick of the posters who only show up here to insult other people or throw around personal attacks. I don't think I need to post the names of the specific poster who has been at it for quite a while now but I can't wait for the day he pushes it over the line and gets himself a perma ban because he's pushing himself to the Bodeclone level of annoying right now. He's on my ignore list now and that's where he's going to stay, but I really wanted to get that off my chest.

I've already been banned once. I don't plan on getting permabanned, man.
