Jeez, his workplace sucks. Hope you are driving so he can at least nap some in the car.

I'll be looking out for a gal with a rasta hat and a really tired looking hubby?
Rasta hat day for the game tomorrow would be fantastic.

Our high school had Navy Blue day today for the state volleyball tournament. Boring. Tomorrow is Red, White and Blue day. That's a little better.

So my niece, in high school, posted a Facebook status about how all this testing is going to be the death of her. I don't know what testing, but I'm assuming like an ITBS type thing, since her friends are saying they guessed on the math parts because they're too hard. But the amount of misspelled words and incorrect grammar in their comments is mind blowing. I really want to post a comment saying "From the look of things, most of you were guessing on the English section, too."

I won't, because my niece would absolutely hate me. But I really want to.

My niece did the same thing when she was still in HS. I took a screen shot of the post, went into Paint and put a X on everything that was wrong and then posted that in reply to her. Several of her friends 'liked' it.

She's got an amazing sense of humor, though and isn't afraid to crack on herself. She was funny when she was really young and often got jokes that she had no business getting.

Yeah...we're BOTH starting to look forward to retirement now. :)

No hat...but long, tangled auburn hair....short, round, floppy body parts...
PapaLew is ~6ft (an inch or two of that is hair!). He looks kinda like old Kris Kristofferson on a bad hair day. :)

Don't know if I'll drive or not. He can't sleep when anyone else is driving anyway, so I'm guessing not. Too bad though, because I'm the one with the lead foot tendencies and virtually no tickets.

Were the four seats together?

I found one on line that looks almost identical to my avatar's hat, but I really look dumb in hats. :(

I may get one for the Iowa game...or the KU game...just because... ;)

Whar WDSM to ask for pics?

I have a package that says it's being delivered on the 20th, but it's currently at the post office a mile from my house. Hmm...

The vision of some kid chasing another kid down a school hall with a bar of soap made me laugh. Today, faculty would see that and be all "Meh, it's not a gun or a knife, we'll allow it."
Eh it varies. My cousin's son didn't understand the concept of keeping your hands to yourself when he was young so he got in a bit of trouble at school. My grandpa's response was "So what, when I was in elementary school we tied a kid to a tree and recess and left him out there when class started again"

And KC: I thought so, but just wanted to make sure.

and BDK: First, pro tip, probably don't want to admit to illegal acts on the internet. Second, holy ****, you drink and drive? That's incredibly dangerous and in what world is that even close to an acceptable thing for you to do?

Nevada girls VB won today also and plays for a state title Friday. Third Nevada girls sport to get to a State title game/match (basketball/ soccer. Volleyball). One of the girls is going to UNI on a VB athletic scholarship.

I went to an extremely strict public high school. If a teacher caught you chewing gum, it was USUALLY understood you got a warning from the teacher, and then the second time there were consequences. Well, I got caught once by my geometry teacher...spat the gum out in the garbage. Next day, I get called out of my honors English class to the assistant principal's office. I can still see and hear my teacher, one of the school deans, when he saw the pass. "Sara?!" Sooooo...I got two after school detentions. 45 minutes each.

I could also tell you about my mom, who was subbing, giving my sister a detention for not getting her homework finished.

And then there's the sweet, sweet story that I can't quite confirm. There was a real jackhole senior that I was in band with my junior year. I'm trying to remember, but I think a second OSS MIGHT have equaled expulsion at my HS. Anyway, this senior got an OSS earlier in the year for hollowing out his history book and hiding candy in it. (Destruction of school property) Supposedly, two weeks before graduation, he was caught in the locker room making a flamethrower out of a lighter and aerosol deodarant. Expelled.

I said they'd get mad. I don't really drink that often anyways. And my name isn't tied to my account so it really doesn't matter what I say.
