I have an issue like that every now and then on my phone. I had your problem before, and one time I would see someone's avatar every time someone quoted somebody.
I'm really glad I looked at CF on my computer first, because I was going to post something about how you should change it back.
Who is ready for more Wx family drama? Long story short I have a couple of tickets possibly passes to the football facilities for Saturday. My wife asked her mom if anyone would want to go with me and her mom said that my wife's brother would go. Apparently it didn't go over well when my wife responded with "Wx wouldn't want to go with him. He annoys us."
What you call drama, I call Wednesday. You need to up your drama game. My sister-in-law's boyfriend once got stabbed by another dude that was sleeping with her.
But seriously, your wife had to know that telling her mom that her son was annoying wasn't going to be received well, didn't she? Either way, I approve. No sense surrounding yourself with someone that's annoying for 3-4 hours when you have other options.
Since I finally have my own home, I asked my dad to retrieve my diplomas from the family safety deposit box an send them to me so I can post them in my home office, along with my SRO license.

I have no idea where my any of my diplomas are. They are probably in some box in my basement next to some baseball cards, some old transformers, and a dead hooker.
Well, without actually judging, since I don't know all the facts, I'll say that generally, if there's someone you wouldn't want to go, ask in a way that politely makes it clear that they're not part of the group being asked. Like, she could have asked if her M&D want to go, or if other family (by name) might want to go. If it was just an open ended invite, I can see where coming back with "Oh, but not him" would be kind of awkward.
Not a good look for you and not smart for your wife to say.
I am so looking forward to having to deal with in-laws.
