Car care center like a place to change oil & wash your car? I'd lean towards 1 or 2, but I'm not very finicky about how nice (modern) my place looks. Give me a roof that don't leak, AC, a furnace that works I'm pretty much ok. Enjoy which ever one you pick. If the car care thing lets you change oil and stuff you could save some extra money that way if you don't mind doing that type of stuff yourself.
I'm actually not sure what it all includes, I'll have to ask. I imagine a pressure washer and it does say there is a vacuum.
cstrunk, I think 2 sounds best. Being close to campus + being the cheapest + quieter for random time of day naps.
1 is a couple minutes closer. 1 was fairly quiet when I lived there before; my old apartment was within earshot of the pool so it got rowdy a couple times in the summer but wasn't bad for the most part. The dog park might be a little noisy at times but probably isn't that bad, I think the worst part will be the gate.
I think 2 sounds the best because he can use the car care center for an LS swap on whatever he's driving, because an LS swap is always the answer.
(well, I mean, not really, but it seems to be)
LS swap into the Traverse? I'm in.
wait, why do you need off site storage for 2 but not the others?
and the car thing is nice too, if you think it would get used. I mostly listed things I would pay for vs. consider a nice bonus.
I have a trailer and a four wheeler and a few other things that wouldn't go into a one bedroom apartment. 3 has a single car garage available ($75) that would hold all my stuff and they said I could park my trailer in that corner of the lot for free (I have a trailer lock). But I liked 3 the least. Going to an off-site storage facility probably won't be a whole lot more expensive and would have better security. I may end up selling that stuff anyway.
The car thing is nice, I suppose, I just need to find out what it all entails. I don't clean my car that often (although the vacuum will be nice for dog hair removal).
How good are the windows at blocking sound in apartment 1?
Average at best.
I really, really would like to go to apartment 1 but this dog park right outside has thrown me for a loop. It's something I won't know what it's like until I'm actually living there. It may not be that bad. Or it may be really annoying. I would use it a lot myself, though.
Apartment 2 is cheaper and only a few minutes farther from campus. It has nice barbeque pavilions (won't be able to use my grill on the patio :sad
I think apartment 3 is ruled out. Most expensive, farthest away, not as nice inside, and no patio. The garage and trailer parking are the only parts that stand out about it.
