I can stay there over the weekend. Definitely on my own dime though but I could work with the person in charge of the project to be able to do it on the company's dime. Sometimes they agree, sometimes they don't. I have lots of people in Charlotte that I can crash on the couches of though.

Congrats. You'd think they'd be more willing to pay for a couple extra hotel nights per week instead of an expensive airplane ticket.

Daytona is somewhat boring honestly. However it would be worth checking out the TB area over the weekend or even wandering off into Orlando.

That's why sometimes they agree and sometimes they don't. Depends on the prices of everything. Customer actually pays for my expenses and some have policies against allowing us to stay over the weekend regardless if it costs less or not. Basically they don't wanna pay for a weekend "vacation".

This is my text notification for hubby's texts. He loves BB and science. :)

In the past I have been borderline anemic so not sure if I can give blood. I also have hard veins to find--I literally have one that is usable. If I don't get the right tech/nurse when getting blood drawn or IV's in it is a nightmare. But am thankful for donors since our second child needed a transfusion in the NICU.

That makes sense. This would be a good time of year to hang out on the beaches and it wouldn't be very crowded.

Ugh I want to go on a beach vacation now.

My wife has the same issue and tends to get rejected because her hemoglobin levels are a little low. I generally give blood a few times a year. We have quarterly blood drives in our building so it is really convenient plus you get free cookies and juice.

Speaking of rejection, I finally heard back from a position in Iowa.......the position has been filled. Sigh. Gotta keep pumping out the resumes and applications I guess.

Sometimes it's a small victory even getting a rejection notice when you're applying for jobs so far away from where you're currently at. I strongly believe your cover letter has to be that much better just to convince them you're serious about moving.

I actually got an email from a company in my home town looking to meet me next time I'm home though there wouldn't be anything open until spring 2016 or maybe as late as 2017. I could live with skipping one more winter if they're serious.
