Random Thoughts 18: The Year of Fire

We went to lunch late today, but I still beat the high school kids to Culver's by about a minute. They literally all look and dress the same. The boys all have the same haircut, and all wear hoodies and sweatpants. The girls all wear their lululemon leggings and stuff. Nobody wears jeans anymore.

How many were wearing crocs?

I will once again take one for the team. Any Catholics that forgot it is friday and laid out ribeyes or T-bones (even some smoked ribs) let me know and I will trade you for a head of lettuce. You are welcome in advance.
Shockingly I remembered. Normally I screw up at breakfast on the very first Lenten Friday. Sadly I forgot to take anything out of the freezer so it's either run to the store for some thawed fish or Arby's 2 for $6 Crispy Fish

I won't go to Hell over a steak. That's a protestant misunderstanding.

If you saw them in school, all the girls would have their Stanley mugs too.

Also, with those kinds of observations I welcome you to middle age.

Heard a few cranes this week. Usually it's the last week or February/first week of March for them to trickle back in but the last two years it's been mid-February.

I thought they traveled by the sun position but maybe the warmer temps left more open water.

TIL that the sheets/blanket thingy that I hate so much in hotels is called a duvet. I mean, I've heard that word before but I thought it was some kind of comforter.
