That does sound like the secret.
When I was working at the ISC during college. I was working a stadium show where I was scheduled to work a 12 hour shift until 2 am and come back at 7 am for the concert and go until probably midnight to 2 am area.

I got a call from the scheduler asking me to work security at Scheman from midnight until 10 am. I said I was already scheduled for about half that. Not a problem I’m told, they will make it work and I will get all the hours. I then said that I needed some sleep. No prob they said, find a corner and curl and and sleep in it. That sounded like great security.

It was also the days before cell phones and watches with alarms so I didn’t know how I would wake up. After much pressure, I finally got her to accept my No for an answer.

Also, how stinky would I be after 40 hours straight work.

I had three days off from one job last week (still worked the other two---I'd hate to miss or something).

When I came in on Friday, our supervisor looked upset with me, which never happens. She asked something about coming in. I guess a new person was supposed to open Wednesday and Thursday, but got sick on Tuesday. Evening managers said they'd call me and penciled me onto the schedule. Since no one ever did call me, I didn't bother going in. I had no idea.

But when you're the never late, never misses guy, of course, nobody really jumps to accuse you of skipping shifts, but it was a very little bit uncomfortable for a bit there. I checked my phone to see if I missed a call, but that phone was actually pretty active last week.

Long time ago I overslept a shift my supervisor called me and said "Hey are you coming to work today?" I said yeah be there quick as I can. When you're a dependable person there is a lot of latitude when you are missing. I don't know if there was even a note in my file never had to sign anything. I was in less than a hour late though.

That post from @CycloneRulzzz made me look. I had Labor Day off. Before that was the 4th of July, and then Juneteenth.

I don't remember working 7 days a week being the goal, but I guess it's a thing.

Problem is the hours at my position aren't long and I need to avg 30 hours a week for insurance and in working 7 days a week I'm barely getting to that mark. I'm also the only one who knows that position. They've had me train several people who have been unreliable or suck what I'm training them.

Also like I said I basically need to do this every day to make my hours goal.

Oh, yeah. Those are tricky spots.
I help out by opening for a couple hours 3 times a week, then I go home for Z and schooling.
I've learned that anything I eat after my custodial shift in the evening has to be quick so Z and I get to sleep. We're both pretty much early sleepers, and if we get much past 10, it's tougher for both of us.

All that said, there probably should be easier ways to make all these things work, but here we are.

Mine is similar except that it has a square opening at the eyes and nose. And it's blue
Dumb question time....do they make you leave your mouth open since it has to bypass your teeth and hit your tongue?

You can see the X's where the radiation was aimed (lymph nodes and tonsils for me). My understanding is that a few years ago they used to put a little X tattoo on your skin so they would hit the right spot.

Maybe this won't hit your salivary glands and you won't have dry mouth issues. That's been my biggest complaint.

I have x's marked on mine in the same fashion as yours. I don't think they are on the neck like yours are. I have to have some Styrofoam like tongue depressor in my mouth during the treatment. I call it my popsicle because it's kind of shaped like that.

Everyone knew it would be a quick game. They did call my son for his first holding penalty ever…………

He did hold so it was a legit call.
Most if not all of that crew are D3 officials as well. I worked a middle school game with one of them early in the week. He had that game and then had to be at Nebraska Wesleyan for a game on Saturday. The NCAA requires officials to be there three hours before game time which makes that trip brutal for the guys from over here. He was just going to get a hotel in DSM on Friday night to cut down on the Saturday drive.

Not surprising on the D3 stuff. They were letting a lot of things fly that typically would be called.

Well got my Dr. bill straightened out I'm guessing someone else now has a $111 added back to their bill.

The animals and birds in the hood are now 6 for 6 in recycling the mice that my two Tomcat traps catch. Last one took a couple of days because it was raining but was gone this morning.

There is a an unwritten emphasis on raising the bar so to speak of what is being called that could largely be boiled down to if it is not a player safety thing, is not big and does not impact the play let it go.

There were several drives to the ground several steps out of bounds. A couple PIs that my kid said he was surprised weren’t called. Compared to the game before where stepping out of bounds and letting the play clock expire and not paying attention to it plus tackling defensive players were not called. It was fine. It was a blow out anyhow so I figured they just wanted to get out of there since it was misting.

Misting...must have been nice. Our first game had one lightning delay followed by downpours the rest of that one. Thankfully we had preplanned to switch shirts for the varsity game so my torso was good but my shoes were soaked along with my pants which I spent the time between games wringing out and running under a hand dryer.
