I know it doesn't have the cache' of fancy brands but Kia seems to hit some pretty good price points. Getting one next wk. Not going to impress the neighbors with it though.
I actually really like their redesigns. Telluride is on my list
We are absolutely in love with our Equinox, but yeah...prices are still crazy. And inventory is still kind of low.
We used to have an Equinox but I would prefer something that we could potentially tow a camper with in the future if we choose to go that route.
Yeah he is too young for a mid life crisis. When he has that I'm guessing he'll roll like a Beechcraft King Air unless he's rolling in it and can swing one of those sweet Honda jets.
They wouldn't hire me when I was laid off so we are not on speaking terms....8 years later. Okay so no one would really hire me....not terribly bitter about it as we have been extremely blessed to have landed back close to family.

Ugh, sister just told me she has to work the women's road game the night of the Iowa game in Madison. She really wanted to be at that game as a fan.

Never had an IPA before, never really want to have another, in fact I don’t know if I care to finish this one. Had one bottle of 7 up left and it was frozen so no 7/7 tonight.

Most IPAs are overhopped and bitter. every once in awhile there can be a decent one from a craft brewer always sample 1st would be my recommendation if at a brewery. I'm guessing this was a odd one you ended up with since your talking about the sevenup being frozen.

For our 25th anniversary, my wife bought me a twelver of funky beer and a couple big boxes of peanuts. 1) I am a bourbon or whiskey drinker generally. If I drink beer it’s at a tailgate or a place where I don’t want to mess with mixed drinks. 2) I’m semi allergic to peanuts. I can have a few here and there and like peanut butter just a little a day or it’s becomes like me drinking milk with my lactose intolerance.

So it’s was odd gifts.

Taken at 4:20 p.m. today on my walkabout in Theo Wirth Park near my home digs. Getting the stink eye from this Great Horned Owl.

Is he a younger one? I've seen a couple of great horned owls and they looked bigger. Hell of a cool picture though. His chest does look like he's scrunched down some.

One of the paired adults that nest each year in Theo Wirth. Not sure if the male or the female. Here's the female from last Friday all puffed up and "hooting" in a mating duet with her hubby. Per an owl guy watching them this was the female based on her higher pitched hoots. I am tone deaf so could not tell the difference. Pays to run into experts on the trail!

True he can play the man of culture card easily, cool hobbies, nice vehicles, good neighborhood, and I believe he even has his own tux.

I could be mistaken, but I don’t think @Ms3r4ISU was exactly implying showing bird photos to college ages dudes was Boxster playing the “man of culture card.”

True. However I said that relative to the girls/moms comment. In which case it’s still true.
I do love the photos though.

When we had those 15 below temps with 40 below windchills, makes you wonder how these things can survive in that weather. If I was that bird, I'm probably flying to the top of the tallest structure I can find and taking a header off it in those temps.

A squirrel figured out how to jump onto my feeder. Not sure how much seed he is able to get out since the perch springs down to cover the openings but it does result in spillage. My old vintage BB gun died so just scared him off the feeder but he just sat in the crabapple branch and was waiting for me to leave. I did go back inside, to look for something to throw at the little ******. Settled on an empty Pacifico beer bottle. And nailed him. Pretty good toss for an old **** with a torn rotator cuff. And squirrel did run off. Guessing this is a Minnesota first, a guy hitting a gray squirrel with a Mexican beer bottle.

For reference I used a flat palm bottle throw and not a neck grip end-over-end throw. ;)
