When I went it was a lottery. I didn’t get tickets twice so I didn’t try the last time. At least they would know then if they had tickets or not.

Somehow missed my wife's vehicle registration last year and she got a traffic ticket last night. Called the treasurer's office to get everything renewed and found out we were penalized as well. If you include the traffic ticket, It will cost me $856 to get the registration caught up through 2023. Very expensive mistake, especially when finances our tight in our household.
My dad did that a couple of years ago and my mom got the ticket as well. Went over as well as you might assume for him. They nearly made it a full year!

If your life is like ours, that's exactly when those things happen.
We're prepping for a round here. Hours are decreasing at work. No teaching pay for a couple months, and at least one employer doesn't withhold my federal income taxes, so something on my W4 is screwed up. We've got another huge couple bills coming there.
Of course, that means a wave of job applications and/or dashing to try and plug the leaks.
this is the third un-necessary large expense due to making a mistake. First was getting scammed financially on a holiday gift, second was forgetting to get a membership cancelled at a gym and the rate doubled during that time and now this. I guess you could call it a "stupid tax". It just hurts when you take one step forward and three steps back.

Right now, I'd take it. I'm tired of looking out and seeing gray. That and cancelling a January trip to Mexico for the third year in a row is making this month pretty tough.
Is that a law she broke? Seems pretty specific.

I got an expired ticket for license tabs one hour after they had expired at midnight. Much long time ago when CWW#1 and I lived in not the greatest apartment complex. Got up to go to work in the morning and there was a ticket on my rusty old Nova issued at 1:00 a.m. in the morning. The tabs I had bought were sitting on the seat in the car, had just not stuck them on yet. Kinda doubt the ******* cops drove through the country club neighborhood a couple blocks away and ticketed cars in their driveways.
Why no Mexico? No cold enough this year here just south of the tundra?
Weird ass weather. Went to meet a couple of old co-workers for a little coffee chat. I hadn't been in a coffee shop in a couple of years. January and wearing a raincoat and duck boots wading through yuge puddles in the parking lot.

Well that first sentence is why they oversell the tickets. I think it’s a good move and I thought if you got turned away you got a refund for the game or some credit. Or at least that was the case when they implemented it (my junior or senior year).
Also first post in this thread. Keeping the streak alive. I think I’ve had at least one post in every thread? Maybe not the first couple back in the day when they needed to close them after some number of posts instead of letting them go all year
What kind of wine? What she was pairing with sushi and whether she was using the wasabi would be important to know. There could be some culinary crimes being committed here.
