Random Thoughts 16: “Somebody had to do it” edition

I'm still in the early stages of it all. I have a TON of things to look through right now.

I just got my booster last Thursday and wife and daughter should be getting theirs within the next few weeks. My daughter's HS cancelled classes Friday due to the outbreak affecting 10% of the students and 20% of the teachers/subs. I'm hoping things calm down in the next few months or I have a feeling this trip will have to get moved. :(
I hear ya. My sister was the one that originally booked this cruise for May 21, but we were committed elsewhere. Viking cancelled that cruise & rebooked her for May 22, and we decided to join her. We'll see if it actually happens. The smaller ships appear to have better containment than the larger ships. I'm definitely not ready for the big ships yet.
I hope you are able to go!

Watch out for those 3 hour tours.

Anyone else remember/listen to Baxter Black? He retired last month due to health reasons and his wife announced Friday he’s in hospice care. I so admired his words and voice, and how he used both to share wit and wisdom. https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1038951&mid=9440378#M9440378

Should have explained he’s the Cowboy Poet and former large animal vet.

just checked the link again and saw a post from this morning. Hospice as was used originally there inferred end of life hospice, which apparently is not correct. He’s getting twice-weekly visits from a home health care provider. Still, the term hospice is pretty well understood.

Definitely do this. Use the main airlines site to book your actual flights. Way better success and I think better service if you do have a problem.

I want to start doing this but have credits from previous cancellatons.

But yeah seems way more A---->B with the airline themselves.

Except Frontier. **** them.

Not gonna lie...thought I had it on the fourth guess...I was wrong.

Hey all. Barring the unforeseen, the fam is going to (finally) be going to Europe this year for a few weeks. I really don't travel enough to know the best sites for flights. There are so many anymore and I'd rather not waste my time with some of them that are sketchy. Recommendations to use/stay away from? Flying KC to Salzburg. TIA.
The major ones (Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, Hotwire, Priceline...) are all pretty much the same. A lot of these have consolidated too so they will look a lot alike. You can try Kayak but it can be confusing and even overwhelming. Whoever said to do your final booking directly through the airlines is correct. They generally give the best price.

As for me, it took 6 tries with a letter I was quite surprised to find that I had ignored for 5. Whew is the word that appeared when I finally got it right.

EDIT: I think I now know what was causing the spoiler glitch. I was putting my words in bold and then turning off bold before putting on the spoiler tag. Apparently the end bold code followed by a spoiler tag causes the glitch.

Nice vowel words for the first two. As for #5, I've never heard that word before!
