Remind me not to go into any more basketball threads. I can't believe the number of people who feel it is perfectly okay to talk about our players with "player X should be shown the door at the end of the season", "player Y should transfer down a level", and "player Z has no business playing on a Big 12 team". Just because the team is struggling and you happen to have season tickets (or maybe even don't) doesn't mean that it is okay to slam the student athletes that hard. Doesn't anyone subscribe to don't say anything if you don't have anything nice to say anymore?
Not just that. Some seem to consider these young people commodities, not even "kids." We are all people, even if some don't realize it.
Forums/social media has led to further dehumanization imo. That goes for recruiting, personal life, etc. and I have to check myself at times. I was flat awful a few years ago during games.
It's bad enough to start and but to go further I think it's weird that there's still meltdowns. Sometimes a team isn't good and that will not change.
Made about 6 quarts of vegetable beef soup. Haven't tried it yet.

Yeah. I'm glad I'm not living in Houston right now. I can only imagine how bad the roads and such are going to be. Especially the overpasses and major interchanges. Those things are incredibly steep (they are at least 4% grade, probably closer to 6%) and will just to into a bobsled run with the people that don't know how to drive in winter weather, plus the lack of salt trucks and such.
Glad it hit -20 here last night. Totally pointless to be this cold and maybe only hit -19. It's like batting .299 in baseball when one more hit would have gotten you .300.
My mom's cousin was hauling pheasants down in Texas and he was right behind the pile up.
