I am a little shocked there hasn't been more talk on RAGBRAI yet. This has been a long week so far. I think next week is going to be a blast.

getting things packed and ready to go. Hope the weather is good. Route is pretty flat, so as long as the winds don't get us it should be an easy ride.
I've been watching the overnight lows in the northern part of the state and it looks to be good tent sleeping despite some warm temps. I agree, this could be an easy year with only head wind and\or severe storms that could make things bad. I'm excited.
Packing is always a challenge.
Tip of the Day: Earplugs and Sleeping Mask if you are tenting it. The sun comes up early!
I have a fan that drowns out most of the snoring and other noises. I like getting up in the morning and getting gone. Get a few miles in before it gets hot.

I helped some friends clean up in Cresco last night. Lots of trees went down, but nothing catastrophic. Everything should be taken care of by the weekend.
Riding from Clear Lake to Lansing. Should be an absolute blast. I've never done more than a day at a time, so looking forward to the real experience.
Here's hoping you guys and gals riding all have a better weather week then we have been having. Damn, extreme NE Iowa has been a damn storm magnet the last week and lots of thunder smacking all across north central to boot. I got caught in a thunderstorm a few weeks ago but I was only 10 miles from home and was thinking, man this would suck if I looking at another 40 or something.
Good luck all, was hoping to ride, but couldn't rally a crew. Hopefully it's cool and the T-Storms stay away.
You may see a black Team Medium Pace bus on the side of the road one mile outside Orange City. We ran out of fuel.
