Question for YouTube TV subscribers

Maybe I needed a fancier Roku stick, but I couldn’t stand PSVues futuristic interface. It lagged too much.

YouTubeTV is much smoother and even seems to buffer less.

Was with directv for 20 years. Just switched over to youtube tv a couple of months ago. Love it. Only thing we miss is animal planet. Although I got used to it.

MY biggest problem is I don’t get the local NBC. This isn’t usually a problem because you get a generic one, but for whatever reason the SNF game isn’t on so I have a over the air antenna for that.

So what device do you use for youtube.tv? I have firesticks, but they won't work because Amazon and Google are little children squabbling. I have $50 off a month from directv, but when that ends, I am done. We also get hulu (regular not tv) free, and have netflix and Amazon Prime video. Does anything work with them all?

Youtube TV is really good if your TV has a built-in app. It's not as convenient if you have to stream it using a phone or tablet.

I’m ready for a new TV so just going to buy one that has the app on it. Likely Samsung Q9 series.

We have 2 Roku Premiere's and 1 Apple TV. Both work great. I setup Harmony remotes with all of them since streaming boxes can't seem to figure out that you still need to turn a TV on and control the volume.

My Roku sticks have remotes that power the tv on and off and also controls the volume! The $50 (sale price?) version.

I'm not a fan of the Roku interface, but I can live with it considering the sports channel lineup.
The Roku interface was updated quite some time ago and is the same as every other platform. Are you using an old Roku device?

We have rotated back and forth from PS Vue and the YouTube TV + Philo combo. I like that YouTube TV allows for iTunes billing, since I load up on iTunes cards when 15-20% off. My only complaint with PS Vue lately is the poor quality of the local channel feeds. They are so unbearable to watch that I end up switching over to my antenna for those. Anyone else get the same? We use Apple TVs mostly, although I do have Roku sticks that I use when traveling.
