I don't think you can go wrong here.....I'll say Queen is an A++ to Aerosmith A+

Queen a thousand times over.

Aerosmith is a fine and fun 1970s-style hard rock band.

There's nothing particularly unique about them, though.

Queen isn't a generic band even if also from the same era and "hard rock" at a high level. They had elements of progressive rock and even opera mixed into their sound, and they had a much better vocalist (sometimes considered the greatest in rock history) and a much better lead guitarist with Brian May.

If there's a fire and I can only save one of Toys in the Attic or A Night at the Opera, it isn't a hard choice for the latter.

Queen but for me it's like they're a 5 and Aerosmith is a 2 or 3.

Random freshman roommate was obsessed by Queen, blasting their stuff night and day. Still can’t listen to them.

I wouldn't even consider them similar bands.

Not sure Queen would put themselves into this: LOL

Interesting debate. Both bands are remarkable and iconic. I have been fortunate enough to see Aerosmith a couple times (first time was in Hilton on the "Get a Grip" tour....was kick ass), but never saw Queen before Freddie died.

In terms of big picture, Queen was more experimental, ground breaking and notable. History will favor them in terms of cultural significance. The vocals, guitar work, and overall songwriting and talent far exceeds Aerosmith.

Aerosmith is a classic American rock band. Other than them being really good at their craft, I think they are more limited in their scope. They are America's Rolling Stones, I think. Some stellar songwriting and instrumental work, and a really long career. Crazy how relavent they have been in 4 decades!

Love both bands. Give the big picture nod to Queen. Aerosmith rocks and will forever be classic.

Aerosmith after Pump is pretty horrific, bad enough for SNL to spoof the sound of their music as it was released. I think I saw somebody in another thread rank “Crazy” above “Dream On”.

Maybe Queen would have gotten that bad too if not for the early death of Mercury. Maybe the Stones got that bad but their bad songs just didn’t chart in the top ten constantly like Aerosmith’s aging rocker era did.

When I voted it was who I like to watch, not the music. To watch them in their prime, Queen would be my choice. Listening its a tie. I think Queen has more songs that I like versus Aerosmith. I don't want to write them down and prove it though.
