His comments about facing hurdles and being in the wrong place at the wrong time make is seem like he doesn't take much (or any) responsibility for what happened; like those things were unavoidable life situations that he has had to overcome.
Very excited to have Royce White here & it looks like Coach Hoiberg & staff did a thorogh job vetting him. But I am a little concerned about some of Royce's answers concerning his past "issues." To me, it looks like he is almost playing a victim. I hope I'm wrong and that I'm reading into his reponse too far, but it would sure make me feel better if he came out and plainly said that he made mistakes and that he has taken full responsibility for his actions and is apologetic for what he has done.
Am I off base on this?
Awesome, awesome interview Chris.
I am hoping like hell this kid is eligible next year....

While I don't know all the details of his arrest, I thought just the opposite. He didn't want to blame his mistakes on "hanging out with the wrong crowd." Instead he took ownership of the issue and said that he needs to make better decisions and not put himself in bad situations.
HAHA
Can you tell I'm excited?
