Pumpkin beer power rankings

We are. It'll be on tap in 2 hours and 22 minutes.
It's a little more subtle than a lot of spice bombs, but definitely pumpkin-y!

Weather couldn't be much better for a fall seasonal release!

Dogfish Punkin Ale
I'm not a big pumpkin beer guy, but that's my favorite

Southern Tier Pumking
This one my wife loves and it's high abv, it's worth a try if you like high power slap you in the taste buds beer.

Trivia time: Punkin Ale from Dogfish was Sam's first beer he ever brewed.

Bought a six pack of Schlaflys for tonight. Pretty excited. I've never a pumpkin spice beer before.

I am drinking Schlafly Pumpkin Ale as I type. Thanks for the suggestions, I am enjoying it thus far. It's a little stronger than I would have thought. I don't really drink craft beers, but is 8% common?

So yesterday I had this:

It was light and smooth, but waiting a few seconds you got your reward. A good flavor. I found another pumpkin ale but its chilling so I'll have to try it in about an hour.

Another vote for Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. Stuff is phenomenal. Great hints of pumpkin pie everywhere. Not a pumpkin beer, but I'm a fan of Capital's Oktoberfest as well.

Bells Octoberfest is pretty tasty. I had it at 209 Main in Paton this week.

ABV is all over the place with craft beers. Most would be anywhere from 4-12%, with many outliers, as well. Here's one for those who like it strong: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30178/104620/

Williams -

Are you trying these 6 packs (mix and match) all at in one sitting? I find that the more I drink the better all beer tastes. Your drunkeness could make you bias. Think about that! Boom!

So the Pumpkin Beer of Today is this Alewerks Pumpkin Ale I found. It has much more flavor than the last one I tried and definitely has a very nice pumpkin pie taste to it. Around 7%. I never had a pumpkin before before yesterday, but the thread inspired me to hunt down pumpkin beers this week.

What's the ABV on this?

I think it's right around 6% this year. it moves around a little depending on how much of the pumpkin ferments (if any). It's kinda a pain to brew with actual pumpkin, which is why a lot of breweries just use pumpkin pie spice (which is what a lot of people associate with "pumpkin flavor" anyway).

Another great one to try is Wasatch Pumpkin Ale. Really good stuff. For those of you in Omaha, you should stop by Infusion Brewery and try their Off the Vine Imperial Pumpkin Ale. They did a great job of putting that one together.
