Tell me what I'm supposed to really enjoy about this beer.

It's beer?

Citra hops aren't for everyone, but honestly, that's what's showcased in the beer. A lot of people describe them as having a cat **** flavor.

IF you are at the game tomorrow, and want to get rid of what you have, I'll gladly take it off your hands.

Yep, I get the citrus hops. It's actually a really unique taste. And, sorry, but Cellar 626 at Cyclone Liquors in Ames probably doesn't want me to walk out with a partially filled glass. Guess I'll just drink it all.

Eh...Right now isn't really the best time to enjoy PseudoSue. The majority of the stuff we've got in Iowa are made in Florida at BrewHub. Add that to a "bad crop" of citra, and its been a bit unremarkable lately.

When did they ramp up their contract-brewing production? I bought some PseudoSue about a month ago and it tasted like it usually does; would that still have been the Decorah stuff?

4 packs are Florida brewed. They had a few batches in July/August which were about as close to Decorah Sue as it gets. Other batches have been drinkable and even enjoyable, just not quite up to par with anything that has come out of Decorah.

Just my opinion of course.

I had a 4 pack of sue bottled in June, and it was disappointing compared to the bombers brewed in iowa earlier in the year. Havent seen any new 4 packs to see if Florida got the problem fixed yet

+1. This latest FL Sue isn't very good at all. I had some from the late July FL Sue that was outstanding.

Doesn't matter though, TG sells all they can make of it (or all others can make)

Got a 4-pack from the Urbandale Hy-Vee last week. Not impressed. Good beer, no doubt, just not what you'd expect from prior tastings of Sue.

A number of beers have completely surpassed PseudoSue as my favorite TG beer. Pompeii probably being at the top of the list.

This. I hate to be one of those TG hipsters, but this canned Sue is not great. Not good, either.

If this was the first Sue I'd had I'd probably not ever buy it again. Many many many better pale ale's that are easier to find, too.

The Psuedo Sue bombers are still from Decorah and still awesome. Although I agree that some of the other ones like Pompeii are as good or better. I also like the new X hops gold.
