Prove them wrong... again

Legitimate take I think, I’m glad to have something provide a chip.

Was that win an anomaly? The guess here is that Iowa State is still vulnerable to a first-round exit, but just like last year the Cyclones are capable of proving skeptics wrong.

An informal observation/blanket statement, but could work in ISU's favor: There seems to be a tendency in tournament for officiating to be a bit less stringent -- "let them play" instead of calling a foul on every contact. At least early in games. Maybe that at least helps us avoid early foul trouble.
What I saw in the Baylor game was less swiping at the ball, which leads to fouls being called, and more moving their feet to get good defensive position. Defense is about moving your feet more than having quick hands.

This as dumb as saying every team wants the chance to get an easy win against SEC football.

No rational honest informed person thinks any Big 12 team is an easy out.

I deleted the post because my intent wasn't to pick a fight, least of all with you as the OP. I just don't have a problem with analysis like his that says, "yup, they've been bad....but they've been good too so it could go either way." It's not an analyst's job to "believe" in your team.
I didn't take it that way and I was joking.

I was at the OU game and live it was very easy to see careless swipes at the ball far from the basket.

ISU wants to stay relentless so it's part of the deal but at times imo they just need to hold off a bit when a foul is really easy to call.
