If this is to really be done, it probably requires fundraising. Or you could bid out ahead of time player sponsorship, sort of like the "game worn" auctions, but ahead of time. Set a minimum if you need to. So pre-auction the Shontrell Johnson Jersey, and maybe you get $500, versus the third team kicker gets the minimum $100 or something. I would guess the helmets would be the very expensive part. Or get one of the big donors to cover it. I doubt Nike is going to do it in Jack's honor. I'm in to cover one myself.
i can't get enough of mocking these up haha. here's a few with 5 stripes instead of 3. Starting to look more soccer then football.
I still think you need to at least make full length red socks to match the jersey color.
any way we can get anything about these into the daily, that would put some pressure on JP once the entire student body see's them

Write a letter about them expressing why you think they should be made and worn. Send it to [email protected] and include pictures! As I've said in other posts, I worked the Opinion desk and was always looking for semi-coherent interesting pieces to publish.
