Press post game...

call up and ask him yourself on Tuesday.

Nice. Great response.

if the poster was referencing Eric Heft's post game interview, we need to consider that he has to travel with the team and moreover, he's not a journalist, but kind of like part of the ISU athletic department.

But handing the ball to your freshman running back who had fumbled 5 minutes prior is a much better choice. Even if we give him this one, there are a many, many other poor decisions you can point to this year.

Oh definitely. I said Thomas should have been the guy carrying. Warren also had the Toledo fumble. It's just that everyone makes it sound as if a punt and punt coverage is a given while another fumble is some sort of normal thing that happens.

Do you even watch football dude? Please tell me you don't believe this. If you do I do not know what to say. The chance of what happened in the Michigan game had like a .01% of happening. I am not making that up...those are what the number crunchers came up with.

No, I don't. Never watched a game. What are the odds of fumbling 3 times in 4 possessions?

Rhoads is clueless as to what is going on in these endgame situations. Last week he didn't know it was 3rd down.

This week he said after the game that in our final drive of the game with the score tied and buried fairly deep in our own end that he wanted to see what we could do on our first couple of plays and if we couldn't break anything that he was just going to kneel down and take it into OT. Then he said that when Bundrage took the first play out to midfield he wanted to go for the FG. Fine, but Bundrage did not take it out to midfield Paul. He took it to the 29 yd line.... 21 yds short of midfield.

So in those last moments today, he didn't even really know where we were at on the field.

Did you watch the Michigan game? I love how people just assume getting a punt of is like taking a knee. It's not. At all. In fact, I would bet a botched long snap/blocked punt odds are somewhere right around fumbling for the 3rd time in 4 possessions.

So don't punt, have Lanning run the ball out of the back of the endzone.

Anyone else hear John Walters shaky voice as he advertised the Applebee's call in show? It was obvious he didn't want to say it.

the last three games he had Warren in there on short yardage situations/Goal.lines. 3rd and 4th and SHORT.

He gets STUFFED

wtf is wrong with Rhoads?

People that want to complain about that one are stupid. You could make arguments for both sides, but I'm sorry you can't say that the play call was bad.
you can say the optimal personnel weren't on the field. K-state will obviously pack the box. That is a scenario were your big back, Joshua Thomas, should be on the field. To that end coaching is in part responsible for the fumble. CPR is so smart he is outsmarting himself.

You won't get through if you want to ask CPR something intelligent. Airtime is reserved for the guys that call every week to tell him how awesome he is.

Maybe I misread you post initially sorry about that. 3 fumbles like that should not happen...unless it is Iowa State doing things they should not do. :)

Yeah sounded like he said "last call in show with Coach Rhoads" or something like that and wanted to add "this season" but it got too awkward for him to add it.

I heard Heft a bit after the game...he was absolutely dejected. He could not believe it just happened. I remember the last time I heard Heft like this....Kansas game, 2006. MCCarney was fired not long after that.

Same with the chart. That's a standard thing for coaches and I'd be ****** if he didn't use it. People need to ***** about the actual coaching problems, not latch on to some random thing just because they're angry. The whole second half was crap coaching.

You'd be ****** if he didn't use a chart? It's called use ******* common sense. Wow...

None of the reporters ever ask common sense follow up questions to Paul's bogus answers/comments. Why? Because they won't be let back in. That's standard for ISU.

How ****** off was Ben Bruns? He has the tendency to call it as he sees it. I missed the game because of work and caught the end after the KSU field goal. JW was totally disappointed.
