Your previous comments about posters illogical takes on the football poll in your post right before that made it pretty clear why you were posting the football poll in a basketball thread. Nobody was fooled.
My feelings aren't hurt; I didn't even make any of the comments about the football thread. I just feel like a fool for going to bat for you when you continuously do that crap and act like you are being mistreated.
I think MBB's preseason poll will be somewhat more reflective of reality than football has been. Preseason football forecasts are so tied to name-on-the-jersey, year-after-year.
While basketball has fewer players and more established coaches, thus less variability. Still, there will be surprises. I just don't think they'll be of the level we're seeing in football with TCU, et al.

OU lost to Sam Houston State earlier in the week. Last night oSu loses to Southern Illinois. Both games at home B12 gyms. Bad year of red dirt state sports it seems? Cats at Cal on P12 Network tonight, first test of Tang.

Well, it's a power five team in their gym. Better test than SIU in Stillwater or Sam in Norman, methinks.
Not if SIU and Sam Houston are better than Cal, which they very well could be. I’m telling you, Cal is horrible.
K-State played SIU in one of those secret scrimmage things, it wasn't close. Home court is worth some points as well, 5-10, so there's that at play here as well. I don't know if K-State is worth a hoot, dime or pound sterling, but this will be a marker of sorts.

Hard to argue with the results from those.
But what does KSU scrimmage results have to do with a matchup between Cal and SIU - take it slow and step by step for me please, I am old and takes a while to process some of your logic. Help me understand why that means Cal doesn't suck.

Someone said they'd take SIU over Cal, thus my comment that State has played SIU - which just beat oSu - and the scrimmage according to coaches wasn't close. To your point though, it probably doesn't mean a dang-gum thing. Comparative scores are generally misleading at best.
