Predictions: Texas Tech @ Iowa State

ISU hasn't won a conference opener in something like 10 years.

This probably looks worse than it really is.

'11 UT
'10 KSU @ KC
'09 KSU @ KC [lost on illegally blocked XP(Leveraging)]
'08 KU Probably least excusable but at least this was a 8-5 Kansas team
'07 @ kNU
'06 @ UT
'05 @ kNU (2 OT)
'04 @ OSU
'03 OU An ISU team that went O-fer the conference.

ISU has only had 3 conference openers that were at home during that nine year span.

Still it is another monkey that Rhoads needs to get off this team's back.

Am I the only one feeling better and better about this game with the more trollio's from TTU appearing. It seems with other games, the more trolls the better the outcome is for the cyclones. I guess they've got to get their shots in before the game.

Tech is considerably better than last year. ISU's offensive is still questionable. Not sure how I feel about this game. Ask me in a week.
How do we know this? KXNO had a reporter on from Oklahoma yesterday and the first thing she said is she is not buying into Texas Tech, they had far and away the easiest non conference schedule.

He will. Keep in mind that ISU's first conference win each of the last 2 years was none other then.... Texas Tech.

Well, we don't "know". We can only speculate. But a crappy team generally isn't able to put up those kind of numbers against weaker opponents. Hell, we couldn't even reach 40 against FCS competition.

Tech has these same results against crappy teams every year in their non-conference. What makes it any different this year from the previous 2? Nothing. Don't be surprised when ISU takes Tech to the woodshed.

TECHnically, that's not accurate. Last year after Tech's games against "crappy teams" Tech had the 95th best defense in the country. This year after Tech's games against "crappy teams" Tech has the 2nd best defense in the country statistically.

Really don't know how anyone could claim 95th and 2nd are the "same results".

Except the post he responded to is talking about Tech's O, not their D, which in most Cyclone fan's minds is where the game is going to be won/lost (Tech O vs ISU D). If ISU's D can contain Tech's O it gives our Offense a chance. I have a hard time believing ISU will win in any shootouts this year.

I predict ISU will wear home uniforms and TTech will wear road uni's. I think there will be tackling and running. I also think that TTech will lose. I think that ISU will win. I think that the crowd at the Jack will be loud. And.....I think that Phil Steele is a moron.
