Prediction: Iowa @ ISU

It all hinges on the ISU DL. If they can play the game of their lives, ISU could pull this one out.

If, however, the DL plays similar to what they played like last Saturday, this will be all Iowa.

I'll stick all Iowa 31-17.

I'm excited to see if we improve. Iowa isn't that good this year. I actually think we are two even teams. If our O-Line can give Jantz some time in the pocket, I feel like he can hit some people down field.

if iowa isnt good, what are we?

The UNI game did little to discourage me. Before the game I thought ISU could win anywhere from 4-7 games this year and nothing has changed that opinion. UNI is a good team. I was disappointed in our offense for 3.5 quarters but we had guys out, new QB, etc.

The last two drives were great and hopefully they grew up as a unit. I expect a good performance out of the good guys this weekend. I don't think it will be quite enough to win but with some luck maybe. I would be shocked if the game was a blowout like the previous two years.

Who all were out against UNI and where are they in the depth chart?

DNP (suspension):

Hicks - first team RG
Darks - first team WR
Leing - second team DT

Barely played:
Rump- First team DT
Maggit - First team DE (played roughly 1 quarter, likely season ending injury)

*Pat Neat (250 lbs soaking wet played DT most of the game)

Dinged up during the game:
Jake Knott - first team LB
KO - first team LT, did not play the last quarter or so
Shontrelle - first team RB, missed a few series
CJ Morgan - first team nickle back thrown out of game halfway through 3rd quarter
Money Reynolds - first team WR, broke toe 2 weeks ago
Benton - had a stinger and missed a few series

Anyone else?

Same prediction I posted on HN...

36-35, ISU. Iowa State kicks 12 field goals (last one to win it as time expires).

Who all were out against UNI and where are they in the depth chart?

Starter OL Hicks, starter WR Darks, 2nd string DL Laing, Starter OL KO limited snaps, starter DL Dutch played 1 series, starter DE Maggit injured early rumored to be out for the season, LB 2nd string Tau'fo'ou, 2nd string RB Hollis.....

7 of 8 returning.....

My gut tells me this is a big mismatch and we get eaten alive at home. Probably to the tune of 38-3.

I hope...and this is based on a healthy O-line resulting in a running game and protection for Jantz. This is based on receivers catching the ball. This is based on a D-Line that improves over last week. This depends on getting some turnovers. If those things ALL happen then I say the good guys win 24-21.

Matt Taufoou suspended
Duran Hollis suspended
Nick Kron?

the only thing I will predict about this game:

If o-line plays well... we win
If not.................... we lose... badly

As long as UNIGuy keeps his mouth shut about gameday weather, predict all you want!

That being said, I still had a blast all day Saturday & I don't expect this one to be any different!
