Prediction: Iowa @ ISU

Who the hell knows?

This is a completely different opening week than we've had heading into Iowa Rhoads' first two years. It will be very interesting to see how the team responds.

Iowa 34-10. I hate to say it, but after watching the UNI game, I am scared to face Iowa. Our offensive line is really bad, we have no running game, and Jantz is running for his life on every play. UNI was able to move the ball way too easily. I am not excited about saturday.

I'm crossing my fingers that recovering from injuries/suspensions makes a difference.

ISU seems to do well when expectations are low, just like in Rhoads first season and last year against Texas. So I guess I am cautiously optimistic for a positive outcome.

I would like to see something like...

ISU 24 Iowa 17

Based on what I saw from both teams...

ISU 10 Iowa 27

I'm really worried about our Oline and Iowa has a mix of big bullies and a speedy guy on the Dline. Bad combo for our line to block. Plus Iowa's secondary looks pretty good, especially if Bernstien is in at safety.

Your score of 34-10 sounds about right...HellsBells ya cant win without an offensive line and this O Line is one of the worst if you dont consider the Jimmie Don Criner and Jimmie Dean Walden years...

This is the quote that I love from CPR...this game is no more or less important than any other game.....

34-10 sounds about right to me....

What game were you watching? Rennie was the only one that constantly moved the ball, Vandenberg does not have his mobility, plus u bring Dutch and Laing back for more snaps that is a big difference inside than the undersized Neal.... I personally though Jensen and Woods also did not do too bad with their limited snaps I personally saw better DL play with those 2 rather than Neal, I respect Neal for what he has done but he is not a downlinemen.....

I'm hoping our defense and special teams can get us some points. I don't see our offense finding the end zone much, if at all.

Just like the last two years. I hate to say it but It's up to kirk. If he wants to put in his reserves in the third quarter the score will be 35-7. If he wants to keep them in going into the fourth the score will end up being something like 49-7. Praying the O-Line gets their heads out of their *** but they were downright awfull on Sat.

24-21 ISU. Jantz continues where he left off Saturday with 2 TDs. The seven starters who didnt play (or play much) will have a big difference.

I'm excited to see if we improve. Iowa isn't that good this year. I actually think we are two even teams. If our O-Line can give Jantz some time in the pocket, I feel like he can hit some people down field.

And you came to this conclusion after watching IA vs Tenn. Tech in a monsoon?

Based on he amount of NFL roster players lost from last year to this year.... Sorry there is no way you can lose that much talent and not feel the pain. IMO probably a 7-8 win team on the high side.....
