Not that we'd take him or even that we have room, but I saw this guy just hit the market. His freshman stats at Loyola Marymount aren't terrible by any means. Marquette seems to be starting a pattern of new guys leaving before the season even begins.

He should go play JUCO or NAIA ball somewhere this year (if possible) and then be eligible to play next year. Options for transferring to a D1 school and not having to pay his own way are pretty slim
I remember when he was looking for schools and thought Marquette got a good one. Seemed like an intriguing player with a motor. So, I take it he's like McKay in that he'll try to find a school by next semester, and then have to sit out until 2nd semester next year?

Certainly understandable why Burton has had a down year so far due to his mother's death. 50% from 3 in 2013, and 40% so far this year. Also, 240 lbs? I can see Fred using him in mismatches.
It would be really, really hard to match the resume Fred has in giving transfers a great spot to land.
During the Arkansas game the TV guys made a comment that, "The Mayor doesn't even start recruiting until he sees what is on the transfer market".

Those are the same announcers who said Andrew Edozie, Man-Tay Morris, and talked about how Niang played with Nerlens Noel at least fourty times. Don't pay attention to those horrible announcers.
He may just need to get "his" players in. Sometimes there are just personality or philosophical differences when a new coach comes in.
Maybe Ellenson will be our Tyler Ulis. Jon Miller is convinced that Ulis will be in a hok uniform someday. Why? I guess because he's a huge tavernhok but who knows. lol.
Eventually we're bound to land one of these big time recruits as a transfer. Someone like Ellenson, Vaughn, etc is bound to not work out, and decide to transfer to Transfer U.
I think JM assumption was that he wasn't going to play at UK and then transfer to Fran after a year. Up to this point he has gotten minutes and impressed at PG. With the Harrison twins almost a lock to leave I would think he is the starting PG next year and as long as he stays. He can play ball.
