Potential Transfers '14

Sorry if this was already posted, but I see we are interested in Wally Ellenson. Thinking this is more about his brother, but either way very interesting. Texas Tech, Baylor, Marquette also involved.

Wally is an elite level high jumper also. He was doing both sports at Minnesota. Sitting out a year to work on his game high jump I could see him contribute down the road. Of course if it helps recruit brother Henry and sister Ella then it is an added bonus

Wishful idea.....Is there any way he could get a track schollie at ISU, and then be a walkon on the basketball team? Or is that not allowed? Guessing not, otherwise other teams would do that to gain a player. Have no idea if you can participate in both sports, realistically, anyways.

It's not allowed.

The Wally thing is interesting at some point were going to pick up a guy or two we know wont play much if at all so why not bring in a kid that might bring in his stud brother later on.

I'm waiting for the day that twitter following becomes an NCAA violation. Just to add another unenforceable rule.

I can't imagine tying up a scholarship for 3 years on a guy that scored 34 points in two seasons on a team that wasn't as good as ours unless there is a pretty explicit deal that Henry comes here as well......

In which case I would be totally supportive of it.
