Potential Transfers '14

Came across a thread on WV board involving Nick Faust with a few tweets from the weekend mentioned. The WV rumors are due to being friends with Staten though no mention of Huggy reaching out year yet.

Can't find it online. What's the story with Faust? Can he play next year or sit a year and play a year?

As swarthmoreCY stated traditional trasfer that would have to sit out a year with only one year to play. NF is lenghty 4 star who consencious top 50 recruit by Scout, Rivials and ESPN. His play was inconsistant at Maryland some big games followed by no shows in others. Assuming Fred would get a RS year to work with him I would expect that to even out and him to improve his shot. Faust could slide immediately into the SG rim slasher role that Kane and now B D-J fills in Fred's offense for the 15-16 team. Connecting the dots it would seem like a good fit for both parties.

Boston College transfer Ryan Anderson told ESPN he has scheduled 3 visits: Iowa State (May 2); Indiana (May 5) and Arizona (May 8).
Hopefully we get a commit out of him before he leaves Ames, Iowa!!! Lets Go Fred Hoiberg...

I would be giddy with Dejean-Jones this year, Anderson for next year, and Faust for next year… Absolutely GIDDY!!!!

I like the fact that Anderson scheduled us first. BDJ visited us first and committed right away, Lee visited Ohio State first and committed right away, Willie Atwood visited Iowa first and...uh, nevermind.
I really feel that if they can meet CFH before being influenced first by other programs, they will commit!

Good find. IMO he can help us, and a redshirt year under Hoiberg would help him. But it needs to be a good fit- him accepting the role of a more efficient supporting cast type.

I also like the pg transferring from Maryland.

Agreed. We need to only look into the not so distant past to find that rosterbating about depth too much can actually put a hex on the team. The hex makes the actual team to lose complete control of their bowels in the last 10 games of the season.

What is the word on Atwood anyways? I hope he does go to Iowa, we could use a good road win to start next season.
