Poor Hawksters - Schadenfreude

For fun, Just tell your Iowa friends that this years Basketball season is like the football season. It doesn't count because of Covid and most teams aren't what they would be in a regular year. And teams are not playing their "normal" schedule. Just listen to the response.

Put an asterisk on it. ;)

I think it would have been a hell of a lot of fun and great for the state to get that kind of publicity as a whole. Normally I wouldn't want that, but since the game was cancelled last year, I think it would have been awesome. Plus I really wanted a shot at ISU this year.

Call me crazy but I'm glad Iowa State didn't have to share the stage with a racist football program...

I have zero understanding of why any Iowa or ISU fan would want a mutual post game.

It's because ISU got a lot of good publicity and they think that their team would have "put us in our place". Funny how for years it was a lose-lose, but the year ISU is good, they actually want to play. F those guys, I wish we'd never play them again.

I think most of us can be rational and say an every other year thing would probably be nice to mix up the schedule. I like to go to away games, so that may be just me.

Could we get back to the issue at hand? All season long (even when we were in the top 10) Hoks cried about us being in the CFP rankings and how that didn't count. What really mattered was the last AP poll for the year and that they would finish higher than us. We also had to hear a lot about "Sun Belt" and "Louisiana".

Well, not only did we finish higher than the Hoks, but in the top 10 of the final AP poll. To add insult to injury, Louisiana finished higher in the final AP than Iowa. Since final AP poll is all that matters, I guess Louisiana > Iowa?

Sweet, poetic justice.

I think 2 year on, 2 year off would be the best.
