Pollard's Punishment

Some kind of fine probably.

Serious question, if it's a fine does he pay it out of pocket or does the athletic department pay it?

Complete guess, but I would guess that it depends on what the fine is for. In this case, I bet the athletic department would pay.

He'll be fined, and probably told if he doesn't like being in the Big 12 conference, feel fee to find a new home within another one.

It think JP will reimburse the Athletic Dept. for any fines levied against his commentary.

Not sure how you punish an AD with anything more than a fine and any kind of other punishment would seem excessive here even though the comment about the 1-9 vote is pretty damning. Unfortunately, it seems this story is going to die on its own and the Big 12 will just give it more ammo if they do anything substantial.

Small fine. We are the red headed step child of the B12. Pretty sure they set up a kids table for us at the conference meetings. Other schools eat steak and shrimp, we get chicken fingers and cold Mac n cheese.

This is probably a dumb question, but what was Pollard's 1-9 vote reference about?

What will Pollard's punishment be for his comments today? Knowing how we like to get screwed we'll probably lose scholarships, maybe they'll give us the death penalty.

Most likely a fine, maybe they'll send him an apology letter and at the end "PS, you owe us $20k
Love,
The Big 12"

I think you meant:

"Love,
Texas and those other teams"

We don't know yet.

I don't know what it was specifically about, but I do vaguely remember JP commenting about ISU being voted down 1-9 with regard to some revenue sharing arrangement when the Big 12 was reconstituted in 2011. But that was a longer ago time frame than he referenced yesterday....

I imagine, since he sounded ready to spill the beans completely yesterday in his impromptu presser, that somebody has asked him about it by now. If he declined to elaborate, he may have decided it is unwise to further agitate the issue. In which case he shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place.

I've not known JP to be anything other than a savvy PR guy when it comes to this stuff, so it would be out of character for him to make that kind of mistake. I'm operating under the assumption that he wants to get something out, and it ultimately will.

If the big XII wants to punish him... they can punish him like the refs....tell him he cannot go to the next game...
He must watch from a remote location.....

Scott Drew will have to coach the ISU men's basketball team for the 2014-2015 season.
How's that for punishment? ;-)

Wonder what his reference to our players behaving inappropriatly at half time was about?

I think Pollard deliberately left out basketball specific comments to spare that program from punishment.
