I am not his biggest fan for various reasons, but I have to give the Devil his due.

He showed up last night in Ankeny when he really didn't have to and the commitment he made to the wrestling team, and the help he has given to get the best facility in the country done deserves a big thumbs up from all ISU wrestling fans.

He stuck his neck out for this program and it is much appreciated by all involved. Now let's get the money raised and get in that facility!!!

I think Pollard sees the dedication by these coaches and fans and rewards us with some help. We're selling season tickets like crazy this year and that shows a lot of dedication to the program. We're getting closer and closer to being back to where we should be. This is a huge step in the right direction!

To my way of thinking, and I'm probably way out in left field here, but Pollard seeing 500-600 people show up on a Thursday night in Ankeny for a team that hasn't even been a top 10 team, sends a message that wrestling is important to the ISU community.

Also, Pollard really hadn't been exposed to a fully functional program until Dresser got her. He walks in the door and Cael says I want to be the head coach and what are you going to do about it to start off his tenure, to KJ being absolutely awful.

So whatever my feelings were in the past, I am happy about the direction and leadership Pollard is showing in this recent past and future for wrestling.

I meant this thread to be about praise and excitement for the program and AD and it's morphed into something else in a different direction.

Great post.

JP deserves recognition for backing wrestling, and we need that to get back to where we want to be. He also deserves credit for bringing the right guy in, Dresser has done such a great job bringing excitement back ISU wrestling.

Thank you JP!
