I cut the cord almost a year ago. I had quality issues at first because my wireless router was too far away and signal wasn't strong enough.

I used a PowerLine adapter and installed another router (repeater) on the other side of my house. Quality is much better on the TV and now I can get WiFi in my backyard as well.

Depending if you need better wifi in that part of your house, you could plug your Roku directly into the PowerLine adapter. I did this in my basement.

Wish I was a baseball fan. Still wish Comedy Central, A&E, and History were on. I'd pay $5 more for those.

As for the picture quality it's definitely an internet speed thing. You can check bit rate when watching on PS4 by pushing the right joystick down. Since I had Mediacom come out and check connections I'm seeing a much better picture. Live sports was almost always SD before, now it appears fine. I've also been told to put the router in the lower part of the house if you can since the signal will go up and out.

I'm guessing this is my issue too. We just moved into our house a few months ago and the only internet jack is upstairs. I assume I can buy a signal booster or something and put it downstairs. Will I need a certain brand like I do for my route or will any off the shelf booster work?

Can't help you on that one. I had an old spare router on hand and tried setting it up as a wireless repeater but it needed to be hardwired in order for it to work (i think due to the older nature of the router).

My PS3 was still having issues with slow speeds over wireless so I plugged in directly from the router as well. Killed about 3 birds with 1 stone.

Well, I cut the cord yesterday. Been with SouthSlope for over 5 years and still have them for internet. Outside of sports I don't watch it. Will become a PSVue member here during Football Season.

Just downgraded my Dish to the Welcome Pack (still have over a year on contract) and stopped my PSVue subscription until football season. It's nice to be able to have that option.
