Plans for the solar eclipse

Woman on NASA channel sounds like she might be looking for a guy soon to take care of her excitement. The two guys sound like chubs did on the driving range before he saw happy Gilmore.

Clouds in Ankeny. Can't really tell any difference from any other cloud day. Bummer.

Cloudy here in Mpls and not even pre-thunderstorm dark. If it was not all over the news I'd just think it was the rain storms due here in soon.

That was one of the coolest things I've seen! Sucks I couldnt get nay pictures to really show it.

I have to admit that was cooler than I expected. We got a little over 90% here in Denver proper but it was a crazy experience between the dimmed daylight and the crazy shadows. It was definitely not worth driving hundreds of miles and spending $ thousands to see 100% like some people did but still cool.

We saw a few minutes' worth in NW Ames right at 1:08, and a little bit around 12:45.

Does anyone else remember when we had an eclipse sometime in the mid-90s? I was in school, and we stood outside and did the cereal box method. The glasses were admittedly cooler, but it's not a ton different.

I didnt have to drive, but the difference between like 99% and 100% was pretty noticeable. It was still reasonably light out at 99% Very dark at 100%. Stars came out and everything. Really cool.
