Phrases that Annoy You

I have to fire this thread up again, because I overheard what annoys me the most yesterday. "Go/Goes" instead of "said/asked".

And he goes, "Where were you last night?"

And I go, "I went out with some friends."

And he goes, "Well, I thought we were going out."

And I go "..."

Another one that annoys me is when people place periods after single words when it's not needed. For example:

Best. Idea. Ever.

Oh. My. God.

When people say 'dominate' when they mean 'dominant'; that really "gets up my nose" -- Google common British phrases for that one.

"What's the good word?"
"I gotta be honest with you."
"Here's the deal."
Any "of a" phrase i.e. "He's not that good of a passer" " It wasn't that good of a game"
"Based off of" instead of "based on"

I need to quit now my blood pressure is going up.

I have a couple grammer ones...

1 is the trend to leave "to be" out of sentences.

Instead of "The car needs to be washed" people say "The car needs washed".

2 is the removal of proper past tense verbs....

it used to be " I dove into the water" now it is "I dived into the water"

"I gotta be honest with you."

Bump again*

I just want to respond to these people:
so, you're normally dishonest with me? You're lying most of the time?

Inane phrases

"To tell you the truth" ('cuz I normally lie)
"To be totally honest with you" (opposed to being partially honest)

drives me batty. I just want to say --stfu . Why are you proclaiming honesty? Are you typically a f-ing liar?

It annoys me when someone starts a thread by saying, "I don't know if this has been posted yet or not, but....". It's just another way of saying, "I don't know how to use the search feature, or I'm too lazy to."
