I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet, but one that annoys me a lot is "taking my talents to ..." Lebron was mocked endlessly for saying it, and yet now it's said all the time.
because people still think james is a douchecanoe.
CycloneJames = LebronJames? That you man?![]()
YOLO....end thread
I'm pretty sure 95% of the time it's used is not an attempt to mock lebron.
"Take a leak," "take a dump," or "take a crap." Almost every time I hear one of these phrases, it is a TMI situation, and certainly every time I hear one of them, it is factually inaccurate. If anything, they are *leaving* the crap, not taking it.
I just moved down to Houston in January, didn't take long to find out that everyone down here uses the phrase "fixin' to" instead of "going to" really annoys me.
I still maintain that "I could care less" is more correct, taking into account that "could care" means I might or might not be able to care which fits with the spirit of the expression (I care so little about this that I'm not even going to think about it, therefore I'm not sure if I could or could not care less). But I don't want to get into it again.
Buzzword Bingo. Greatest commercial ever! I'm sure many of you sit in meetings and fight every urge to jump up and slug people who, rather than "play house" they essentially "play office". The squirly people who really have nothing to offer except to sound-like they belong in the professional space, the consultants, the brown-nosers,etc. I have complete and utter disdain for all of them.

The word epic and people saying others should have their man card revoked. Both were popular phrases in 2006 that people continue to say today for some reason.
