Phone Upgrade: The Decision

Still waiting for a phone with a great battery. I want to go 2-3 days without charging.

More people switch from Android to Apple than Apple to Android. I've always found Android to be way too gimmicky for my liking.

I swapped from Apple to Android on Black Friday this past November. They had a deal getting the Galaxy S5 for free with a new 2 year deal.

Overall it's a good phone. I love the samsung tv remote app that comes with it. Other than that the phone hasn't really blown me away in comparison to my iphone 5. I think the apps that I commonly use (mint, tunein radio, instagram, ebay, Simple banking) were much better on the iphone. Those apps constantly crash on the GS5 I have now. Who knows maybe I got a lemon, but when my contract is up again in 2 years I definitely will be shopping around again.

im in the same boat, waiting for the galaxy s6 or htc m9
if you currently have an android phone and like it, i wouldn't switch to an iphone
you will just be angry at the phone for the next 2 years. people on both sides of the argument think their side is best. stick with the side you know, you will be happier

I have no clue why people are so obsessed with the iPhone. Apple lags a year after Samsung/Android comes out with new technology and Apple brands it as cutting edge technology (which it isn't).

Your supporting data was truly enlightening. I felt that your regression analysis was particularly profound and airtight. Consider me convinced.

HTC!

It is great quality and sleek UI. (Based on exp w G5 and m8.)

You can remove the blinkfeed home-screen if find unnecessary (I did).

I will typically go all weekend without charging my Droid Turbo. The battery life is amazing, but the phone definitely is bigger and heavier than most out there.

The first thing I've done on my last two phones is to install the Google Now Browser. Makes it nice that things look similar between my phone and my wife's M8.

BTW, if you listen to music or watch videos, the front facing speakers on HTC phones is really nice.

I have the Note Edge which has the funky side screen and it takes some getting used to but once you learn how to use it it's awesome.

If the Note Edge had the speaker on the front I'd have next to no complaints. I'd suggest wireless charging as well.

Because with all that fancy new tech everyone runs around bragging about it doesnt really do a whole lot more. To me the only thing that really makes a difference anymore is the interface preference.

Whats with Samsung going to the glass back? Face it, all of those companies copy each other to compete. I just find it funny, apple ditched the glass back for aluminum and then samsung goes backward and adds glass.

The only newer tech that I really use is the wireless charging. That is a must on all new phones and tablets that I buy.

I am glad to see HTC coming back with a win. I loved my incredible and incredible 2. They kind of went into hiding a bit but it appears they have revived.
