Respect the kid for always answering questions after the game and taking the heat. He's a mature adult. Cannot say the same for BF.

Also, can't blame the kid that he's their best option at QB.... that's KF's fault.

He’s not good, but he’s probably good enough to beat a few of the teams they’ve lost to if they had a running game and better protection. If I were them, I’d move DeJean to QB and let him run. It can’t be worse.

Hear me out...what if, any time Iowa crosses the 50 into the opponent's territory, he pooch punts and pins them deep. That sets up multiple safety opportunities and/or pick six scenarios for the defense.

Barta is an absolute moron for giving him a buyout like that. They should start by firing Barta for it. But they wont. So in the end this could be the undoing of the program for a while if they continue to just do the same thing over and over.

At some point if you don't change the game passes you bye and that I think is what is happening there, at least in part.

I was listening to the Iowa post game coming back from a bike ride and the guys were talking about how great it was that he got a shot and that it was a real improvement. Go look at his stats. The only difference is that Padilla have one less INT with half the passes. I'm sure both of their QB ratings are in single digits.

I use Yahoo Sports app. Using their numbers, if you add Peatrus' and Padilla's QB ratings, then times that total by 2, it was still less than Strouds QB rating. Ouch.

I actually feel bad for Petras. He clearly is not on this level, his offensive line is terrible, he has no recievers, he has the worst power five offensive coordinator I have ever seen. He does his best. He’s young and Hawkeye fans murder him online. It would be nice to see the kid transfer to like Northern Illinois and have a nice season playing against even competitors

This winter/spring if their two backup QBs hit the portal, some O lineman and wide receivers hit the portal too. It's possible, they could have a mini exodus.

Our program is not perfect, but we are in a much better position.

The dream for me is we move Manning to the offensive line, and part ways with Jeff Myers. That leaves the OC role for Scheelhaase. If he's the rising star people say he is, give him his shot.

Eh…it’s the world of NIL. Iowa can probably muster up $100k to throw at a QB if they really want to…

After awhile, you just got to feel sorry for the kid and realize it is all on the coaches now. The fact that nepotism has delivered that cluster**** is pathetic. Will no one stand up to KF? Eventually the Ferret family and their minions will struggle to put together anything close to a program and will be battling Nebraska for the cellar. The ISU offense is still better than Iowa's. Unfortunately the ISU defense is not as good. The ISU offense needs a healthy Brock or a health Norton to get the running game going again.
