Don't know if we are recruiting him, but we are aware of him. Suppose to be good, probably hear more about him after AAU this summer...I figured, I would give you guys a name. 8th grader...Roosevelt.

Never heard of him haha. Well Wesley Staten commited before playing any high school ball. Now he's espn top 100 watch list.

After 3 years of HB threads...I was getting tired, so how about 3 years of PJ threads:wink:
I will be surprised if there is another Barnes in the state of Iowa in the next 10 years.
I heard about him through a family member on the AAU circuit...I asked about him...was told, he is a stud. Take it for what it's worth...
he will change his mind 10 times before it is time for college. i hope wesley staten stays true to his word and doesnt jump ship for a better program if he is that good!
I saw this kid play at an AAU tourney in Indianola against the Barnstormers, the kid is amazing. His scoring wasn't what amazed me (24 points), but his athleticism. I think it would be a great get if we can get him later on....

They rank middle school players in football in Texas. Or at least a few organizations do in the Houston area. Just crazy how young they start to grab 'em.

Don't doubt it, but there are few kids out there with the work ethic AND talent of a HB. Nick Collison was one of them. They just don't grow on trees.
Not saying the kid isn't a huge stud, but it is tough to be better than the #1 ranked SF in the country
yya peter is a stud i've seen him play I'm a friend of his older brother,dau he's roosevelts starting point guard, this kid is amazing he is always the best player on the court
BigM... i was about to ask if he was related to the Jok that was on Roosevelt this year haha thanks for answering. Dau is a pretty decent athlete and has good range.... sounds like little brother is going to be a heck of a lot better.
