My pet peeve: why is Cy still that shade of bright red? He should have been updated to cardinal when we rebranded and defined the new colors. It looks pretty weird with the uniforms that Cy wears.

Maybe I'm being ridiculous but I get annoyed when I see Cyclone fans wearing white polos in the stands. I would imagine some are UNI fans but I could tell that many of them weren't. It makes the sea of Cardinal look like it's spotted with a bunch of opposing fans.

I have three Iowa State polo shirts that I have bought from official retail outlets of Cyclone gear during the past three seasons. They are all different shades of red. Which ones are acceptable to the clothing police and which ones arent ?

BTW, the coaching staff was wearing white shirts... do they get a pass or are you going to call into the coaches show and complain ?

And agree with anyone who says white Iowa State polis are better than seeing blue ISU gear. How have people not gotten rid of all that ugly blue stuff yet?

Oh, but there was.

I was walking on the East concourse right before the game just in time to see one gentleman decked out in all eiu garb in a golf cart being driven around by stadium security. As I let them drive by I over heard a group of guys commenting "He's a week early." Wasn't going to stick around to hear what else they were saying, but I couldn't help but laugh at that on.

I had also seen several people with eiu hats/shirts and uni hat/shirts. Those made me laugh too!

The squawks were probably there to laugh, but didn't get their wish. Unfortunately I think they looked a little bit better than we did in our opener.

Saw a guy with a black polo walking toward me from a ways off. Thought it was an EIU shirt. When he got closer I saw it had an I state logo on it.

I saw a couple with matching homemade (I'm assuming). Shoulder part was purple w/gold lettering that said Northern. Chest was gold w/black lettering saying Iowa. Then, of course, bottom was red with a gold State.

It was...weird.

Honestly my old man still has a dark blue shirt with Iowa State on it in yellow font. Kinda cool looking shirt but damn whoever designed it failed hard.
