Percy Harvin now a Seahawk

Would have LOVED to keep him, but all his other BS besides football along with wanting Calvin Johnson/Larry Fitzgerald money basically forced Minnesota's hand.

The Vikings would have to get lucky to get value back on him, but it sounds like they got a first and some other picks to they could have done worse.

I'm sure he's been following the changing of a few laws in some states. Was probably talking with the broncos quite a bit too

The Vikes have to draft Austin now don't they?

I would think so but I don't know that Austin is as good of a football player as Harvin was. He certainly has the measurables, but I'm not sure he will be a complete "do-everything" guy. He certainly is as close as anyone else though.

I think Austin could be a do everything player. WV started doing that with him at the end of the season, and he was a dangerous weapon.

I think he definitely is NOT as good as Harvin. Harvin was a unique stud. He has great speed and ridiculous power for his size which is what made him special.

Austin is a freaking burner who doesn't lose speed through cuts which is what made him special in college. He will be good.

I wonder if the Vikings will just let Jarius Wright be their slot and then take a true #1 type receiver with one of their first two picks instead of those guys I mentioned earlier. Probably riskier to pick on of those guys, but slots are a dime a dozen nowadays.

Cordarrelle Patterson would be my guess if he was still available. Vikes need that home run/deep ball threat. I have a feeling Jarius Wright could emerge into a slot, if not, a free agent slot would be a good option too.

The last two receivers who went from Minnesota to Seattle didn't work out too well for the Seahawks. Fool me thrice, I guess.

If Minnesota ends up with an additional first round pick, and nabs another WR (Wallace/Jennings) in free agency, then I'm more than fine with this.

If he slips that far, and the Vikings don't try to hit a homerun with a big WR. Patterson isn't the prototypical outside receiver, but he is a stud.

John Clayton just confirmed at least a 1st rounder is involved. #25. Vikings would have #23 and #25.

nice. I didn't think they'd get a 1st because of Percy's history and current baggage. Good job, Spielman.
