Pelini

Neb had a season very similar to ISU in terms of offensive players being injured. They were down to their 3rd string QB, so it is not surprising that Iowa pretty much shut them down today.

BP is his own worse enemy at times, but he is not a terrible coach. He may want to get a new special teams coach, as the play of the special teams was horrible bad today.

In the end, NU is still 8-4, which would be a great season at ISU.

This is the worst part. They are falling apart, but still have a record we would drool over.
 
I just saw the PI call that Bo was arguing and he is TOTALLY CORRECT. The ball was uncatchable and the PI call was rediculous.

Anytime my wife ask's me why I didn't get into coaching I refer her to Pelini and say I would probably take it to a level beyond what he does and actually hit a ref. lol
 
Actually I changed my mind on Bo, I met the family that has the kid with cancer that he let run for the TD in the spring game, changed my mind after that. Used to hate him, seems like a good guy now

They did grab Fedorowitz before the ball was there, though I agree that other than Megatron no one could have caught that pass.

That being said, he took that further than Rhoads did in his press conference and on the field as well, and that drive only ended in a field goal. Imagine what he'd have done in a scenario like that UT game this year. I shudder at the thought.

If he grabbed him it should have been holding. But the ball was uncatchable so it should not have been PI.

I'm not sure they can get another coach who can do better than 9 wins every year but I'm confident they can get someone to do what Bo has done without embarrassing the program every weekend with his antics.

"Nebraska fans" and "smart" = a contradiction in terms.
 
I don't get why Neb fans are so upset about his actions/behavior. They knew what they were getting when he was hired and they were all for him then.

Catchable Forward Pass
ARTICLE 4. A catchable forward pass is an untouched legal forward pass
beyond the neutral zone to an eligible player who has a reasonable opportunity
to catch the ball. When in question, a legal forward pass is catchable.

c. Defensive pass interference is contact beyond the neutral zone by a Team B
player whose intent to impede an eligible opponent is obvious and it could

The thing is, the Husker fans love Bo. HE's right, the media has been out to get him since the audio tapes of him ripping the fans were released. He's also right that he's got them in the right direction. They played tons of young guys on defense and have everyone that mattered this back on offense. Also, no Ohio State or Wisconsin on the schedule next year. Firing Bo is an awful idea, whoever gets that job will have a full cupboard the next few years. I could see him getting flack for almost any other season since he's been at Nebby but this year is probably his coaching staffs best coaching job in his 6 years in Lincoln.
 
I know the bottom line is winning, but he hasn't really put many guys in the NFL recently has he?

This would be the perfect setup for the Chiz, since someone brought him up.
